Baby wipes price comparison: work out the price per 100 wipes
The quick answer: count the wipes, not the packs. In Discount Trolley on 26 October 2026, the ALDI 480 pack cost 2 dollars 19 per 100 wipes and the Little One's 480 pack at Woolworths cost 2 dollars 29. Huggies 240 packs were half price at Woolworths until 27 October, at 3 dollars 02 per 100.
Wipes come in everything from small travel packs to boxes of 640, so the shelf price on its own says very little. A small pack that looks cheap can cost three times as much per wipe.
We make Discount Trolley, so read this with that in mind. The app shows the unit price under the shelf price in search and on each product page. On baby wipes at Woolworths, Coles, ALDI and Priceline it reads per 100 wipes, so most pack sizes line up on the same number. To get the price of one wipe, move the decimal point: 2 dollars 19 per 100 is about 2.2 cents a wipe.
- Compare the price per 100 wipes, not the pack price.
- House brand 480 packs sat at 2 dollars 19 to 2 dollars 29 per 100.
- Small packs and water wipes cost the most per wipe.

Is the big pack of baby wipes cheaper?
Usually, but only by a little on the house brands. At ALDI on 26 October 2026, six 80 packs cost 11 dollars 34 and the 480 pack cost 10 dollars 49, a saving of under a dollar for the same 480 wipes.
Woolworths and Coles showed the same pattern in Discount Trolley. The Little One's and CUB Biodegradable 480 packs cost 11 dollars, against 2 dollars for each 80 pack, so six small packs cost 12 dollars for the same wipes.
The very small packs cost the most. In Discount Trolley, the CUB Biodegradable 20 pack at Coles cost 1 dollar 50, or 7 dollars 50 per 100 wipes, more than three times the 480 pack rate. Handy for the nappy bag, but not for the change table. For more on judging big packs, read when a bulk buy grocery deal is worth it.
- The 480 pack saved under a dollar against six 80 packs.
- A 20 pack cost more than three times as much per wipe.

House brand or Huggies: what the gap looks like
House brand wipes were the lowest we found. On 26 October 2026, the ALDI 480 pack, the Little One's 480 pack at Woolworths and the CUB Biodegradable 480 pack at Coles all came in between 2 dollars 19 and 2 dollars 29 per 100 wipes. The ALDI and Woolworths prices matched each store's website that morning. The CUB price is from Discount Trolley.
Huggies at full shelf price cost a lot more. The Huggies Gentle Cleanse 240 pack was 14 dollars 50 at Coles, or 6 dollars 04 per 100 wipes, more than two and a half times the house brand rate. On special, the gap closes. The same 240 pack at Woolworths was 7 dollars 25 until 27 October, half its shelf price, which made it 3 dollars 02 per 100.
Price is only part of it. Some parents stick with one brand, and some want water wipes or thick wipes. If you have a favourite, compare that brand across stores, pack sizes and specials instead.
- House brand 480 packs cost 2 dollars 19 to 2 dollars 29 per 100.
- At full price, Huggies cost 6 dollars 04 per 100 at Coles.
- Compare the wipes your baby actually uses.
Water wipes: what the extra costs
Water wipes cost more per wipe, but the gap depends on the brand. On 26 October 2026, the ALDI Baby Water Wipes 80 pack cost 2 dollars 29, or 2 dollars 86 per 100 wipes. In Discount Trolley, the Little One's and CUB Biodegradable water wipes 60 packs cost 1 dollar 90 at Woolworths and Coles, or 3 dollars 17 per 100.
WaterWipes cost several times that. At Coles, the WaterWipes 360 pack cost 40 dollars, or 11 dollars 11 per 100 wipes, and it matched the Coles website that morning. The 180 pack cost 21 dollars 50 at Coles and 21 dollars 49 at Priceline, or 11 dollars 94 per 100. At Chemist Warehouse, the 360 pack was 36 dollars 49, about 10 dollars 14 per 100.
So the house brand water wipes at ALDI, Woolworths and Coles cost about a quarter to a third of the WaterWipes price per wipe. If you have settled on one water wipe, the bigger box is still the lower price per wipe.
- House brand water wipes cost 2 dollars 86 to 3 dollars 17 per 100.
- WaterWipes 180 and 360 packs cost about 10 to 12 dollars per 100.
- The WaterWipes 360 pack cost less per wipe than the 180 pack.
Woolworths, Coles, ALDI, Priceline or Chemist Warehouse?
On the house brands, there was little in it. In Discount Trolley, the Little One's packs at Woolworths and the CUB Biodegradable packs at Coles had the same prices: 11 dollars for 480, 2 dollars for 80 and 1 dollar 90 for 60 water wipes. ALDI was a little lower, at 10 dollars 49 for 480 and 1 dollar 89 for 80. The Priceline Baby wipes 80 pack at Priceline cost 2 dollars 49.
On the same Huggies pack, the store mattered more. The Huggies Gentle Cleanse 240 pack cost 7 dollars 25 on special at Woolworths until 27 October, 14 dollars 50 at Coles and 14 dollars 49 at Chemist Warehouse. All three prices matched the store websites that morning. The Huggies Gentle Cleanse 400 pack was 19 dollars at Coles and 18 dollars 99 at Chemist Warehouse.
Discount Trolley did not show a unit price on the Chemist Warehouse wipes we looked at, so divide the price by the wipe count yourself. The Babylove Everyday 80 pack at 3 dollars 49 works out at about 4.4 cents a wipe.
- House brand prices were the same at Woolworths and Coles.
- ALDI was a little lower on the house brand packs.
